3D CAD models are quick and easy to produce. They are versatile and allow all the benefits of producing a physical object without the cost. We use a range of powerful surface modelling and solid modelling CAD packages to help your organization with any 3D CAD design or modelling needs. We work with you to produce files suitable for each individual project and their intended use.

Design

Engineering and Manufacture
The CAD packages we use at Axia allows us to create detailed engineering drawings from scratch or alternatively directly from a 3D CAD model. Producing these drawings directly from 3D models ensures accuracy of the design, allowing the CAD model to help identify any problems with the form, function and fit before any physical object is produced. Full engineering drawings, including BOM and cut lists generated from the 3D CAD models, are automatically updated with any revision to parts, This allows quick and easy design changes to be incorporated without the hassle of having to reproduce engineering drawings from scratch.
Assembly Explosions, Finite Element Analysis, Materials Analysis, detailed Renders and Video Animations can also be created, allowing for other aspects of the manufacturing process to be explored prior to manufacture, saving time and hassle further down the line.
3D Printing
All rapid prototyping machines use .STL files to generate printed models. We can create a 3D model for printing from scratch, or use your existing 3D CAD files, to generate an .STL file. We can work with most file types from many different CAD packages including, AutoCAD, ProEng, SolidWorks, Powershape, Rhino, ArchiCAD, Vector Works and even Sketchup. Regardless of the CAD software you are using, it is quite likely to be a file type we can support.
If you have the ability to generate .STL files we are able to asses these for you to ensure that the resulting printed model is of the highest possible standard. If required we can repair your files for you, or offer you guidance on the required repairs.
